This page explains in plain language what personal data Sinchi Wayra collects through this website, why, and what you can do about it. Last updated: October 2026.

Sinchi Wayra is a family-run Amazon lodge and tour operator in Yasuní National Park, Ecuador. We are responsible for the data described here. You can reach us at welcome@sinchiwayra.tours.

When you book or contact us we process the data you give us:

• Name, email address and phone number, to confirm and run your booking and to answer your questions.
• Passport or ID number, nationality and date of birth of each traveller, because the national park and the authorities require them for park entry.
• Dietary needs, health notes and other details you choose to tell us, so we can look after you properly.
• Payment information: the amount, date and status of your payments and a reference to them.

We keep booking data for as long as the booking needs it and for as long as Ecuadorian accounting and tax rules require us to keep records. After that we delete it or anonymise it.

Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number is entered into Stripe's secure form and never reaches our servers; we only receive the result of the payment and the last four digits of the card.

Booking confirmations and replies to your messages are sent through Resend, our email delivery provider. It processes your email address and the message content only to deliver them to you.

We use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how the site is used and to measure whether our ads lead to bookings. These only run if you press "Accept all" in the cookie banner. Until you choose, and if you choose "Essentials only", they do not store cookies or identifiers about you. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Essential (always on):

• Your cookie choice, stored in your browser as "sw-consent".
• Your language setting and, during checkout, the data your browser needs to complete the payment securely.

Statistics (only with your consent):

• Google Analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_*, which tell us anonymously which pages are visited.

Advertising (only with your consent):

• Google Ads cookies such as _gcl_* and related identifiers, which let us measure whether an ad led to a booking.

You can ask us at any time to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it (as far as the law does not oblige us to keep it, for example for accounting). You can also object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw your cookie consent whenever you like. Write to welcome@sinchiwayra.tours and we will answer as soon as we can. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority of your country.

This website has no customer accounts or logins. We do not build a profile of you; the data above is tied to your booking or your message only.

If we change this policy, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
